As the importance of leveraging information to plan and manage the modern business becomes ever more relevant, one thing remains clear. It is still the executive culture for making decisions that ultimately determines the adoption and ability to drive value. Modern systems, complex data integration and artificial intelligence can provide the answers, but decisions are driven by perception, perspective, and focus.
The uncomfortable truth is that not a single business we work with today makes large or important decisions completely trusting tools or information. The main issue is the same as it has always been – behavior – and especially business behavior.
In this paper, we outline how this behavior is manifesting itself, why planning demands objectivity and why business leaders need to focus on business alignment to deliver a decision-making strategy that works.
