IBP Survey Report

A survey of firms in the Asia Pacific region has revealed that despite the lessons of the global financial crisis, the majority of organisations are still failing to plan more than 12 months ahead and 10 percent have no formal planning process in place at all.  The survey was conducted at Oliver Wight’s inaugural Integrated Business Planning conference in Melbourne on 24-25 February 2015. Delegates at the event, entitled ‘Integrated Business Planning For High Performance Organisations’, had gathered to hear from some of the region’s best-known companies about the lessons learned and successes enjoyed from Integrated Business Planning (advanced sales and operations planning, S&OP). At the end of the two-day conference, 104 senior managers from 54 companies were polled on their own experience of Integrated Business Planning and S&OP.
